125 Pieces!!

I thought our puzzle fundraising days were over.  But then I woke up this morning to a donation notification in my email box.  Someone, a complete stranger, sponsored 10 pieces!!!  A fellow adoptive family trying to raise their own funds to adopt two sweeties from Haiti as well!!!!  Amazing.  We have found so much support from the adoptive community......it's really an amazing group of people.

I know so many of you have donated already, but thought I would just throw this puzzle fundraiser out there as a reminder, just in case, it can't hurt right? :)  Anyway, God is moving some GIGANTIC mountains and we are closer....wish I could share, but will as soon as I'm able.  Just keep praying for us!

115 Pieces!!

If you keep up with our adoption blog, www.destaourjoy.blogspot.com, you are already aware of the frustrating circumstances we are facing. If you don't know the whole updated story click on the link over there on the right side bar. We had a few discouraging days last week feeling as if this adoption will take FOREVER to happen. However, God once again stepped in and so graciously filled our hearts and souls with that wonderful peace that passes all understanding. We have also been blessed by friends and family with generous donations to sponsor puzzle pieces. In the last two weeks we have had 28 pieces sponsored for a total of 115!! Woohoo! I'm thrilled to add $280 to our fundraising gauge. I love that we received these donations at a time when we needed some encouragement and reminders that God is still working and moving. We know without a doubt that He will provide for this. We are so excited that we are just a dollar amount away from meeting our little ones. This mountain of money we need seems so huge and unreachable to our mere human minds, but it's just a drop in the bucket for our Lord. Please continue to pray for us and for the little ones waiting for us!

87 Pieces and Counting!!

We were able to add eleven more pieces this past week and we are so thankful!! There are 165 left that are just waiting to be sponsored. They're getting lonely in that dark, cold storage box! :) They are just $10 a piece! Thank you!!

76 PIECES SO FAR!!!!!

Well, I'm a little behind this week and I'm just NOW getting this posted. Last weekend we again were amazed and blessed by friends and especially by God's provision. I will never get tired of saying that! :) We had 6 more pieces of the puzzle sponsored which brings us up to 76 sponsored so far! We still have 176 pieces left so feel free to jump on the bandwagon and help provide for an orphan.....hint hint. :) We are excited that we are $1335 closer to our goal. Also, I mentioned before that we applied for adoption grants, so we're asking everyone to please pray that there are funds available to help us out! These grants can be a HUGE help in raising the money we need. Thanks!

Another piece was sponsored today!! That's 70 pieces which equals $700!! There are still 182 pieces left if you want to sponsor one for just $10! Thank you everyone!

You can also just donate money if you would prefer which some people have done, for instance we got a $125 donation today! We are so thankful for all of you, every penny counts.

We're Getting There!!

Four more pieces have been added! Yay!! Woohoo! I updated our other blog about all the donations we have received in the last two days. You can click on the link to our adoption blog to the right if you want to read it.

We have been blessed with donations, all sizes of them. Some were $10 and some were bigger. I'm saying this because it all counts. There is no such thing as a small donation especially when it comes to helping an orphan come home. We are thrilled with any amount and that's why this fundraiser is so fun. All we are asking is for $10 a piece. That's it. Thanks!

More Pieces for Our Puzzle!

We were so taken aback today by God's goodness. In just one morning we received so many words of encouragement for our adoption, proof of His will for us to be doing this in the first place, and the generosity of His people. We received donations for 40 puzzle pieces today!! We are now up to $650 towards the international fee! We are overwhelmed with His love and with the love and support of our friends. Thank you to all of you who donated today, it matters in a big way and we can't wait to tell our new child of the love that has been poured on him even before any of us knew who he was!

The Progress So Far.....

Well, here's the update. We have four sponsors. One piece has been sponsored by a sweet family, you know who you are :). The other three have been sponsored by my amazing daughters. We are prayerfully hoping that others can come on board and give just ten bucks for a piece of the puzzle. Remember, it's not giving money to the Warners. It's giving money to a child stuck in an orphanage without the constant love and comfort of a Mother and Fathers arms. It's giving money for a child to come home to his forever family where it's safe, where there isn't a risk of another devastating earthquake to take more innocent lives at any moment. It's giving money to a child who needs far more than we do. It's so easy to not think of these children because we can't see them, but they're out there, everywhere. We would be most thankful for any additional help. Thank you to all of you,--family, some friends and even another adoptive family trying to raise their own money, who have been so gracious in giving toward our cause. We pray God's blessing on you!

Will You Be a Piece of the Puzzle?

Welcome to our Puzzle Fundraising site!  We are very excited to be introducing you to this fun fundraiser!

The adoption process is very much like working on a puzzle.  A very complicated, detailed and drawn out puzzle.  We have been working very hard on gathering documents that basically tell of our entire lives.  There are no secrets with adoption.

One of the most difficult aspects of adoption is the expense.  Our adoption will cost, when all is said and done a total of about 30,000 to 41,000 dollars.  It depends on whether or not we are blessed with one or two children.  We have already paid approximately 4,185 dollars.  The largest fee comes when we receive our referral, if we accept the referral we need to pay an international fee of 14,000 dollars per child to Haiti.  We are currently working on raising money for this fee alone.

Would you like to be a piece of this puzzle?  Here's how you can help.  We have purchased a Haiti puzzle which has 252 pieces.  We are asking for people to sponsor a piece of this puzzle for $10/piece. If all 252 pieces are sponsored we will have successfully raised 2,520 bucks!!  As pieces are sponsored we will put the puzzle together.  Once it's completed, we will write the names of all the sponsors on the back and frame it.  Our dream is to present this to our child/ren as a gift and a reminder of all the people who helped bring them home.
